Ubisoft has announced that the third major update of Ghost Recon Wildlands’ second year of post-launch content will be released this month.

The Special Operation 3 update includes an all-new PvE mission, two new PvP maps, improvements to the game’s Prestige Economy, and a new photo mode.

The introduction of a new photo mode is certainly welcome. Players will be able to edit their pictures, and apply a variety of effects or filters. We expect it won’t be too far removed from the features found in the last two Assassin’s Creed titles.

More than 90 new items will also be added to the Ghost Recon Wildlands store, including a new Special Operation 3-themed pack. Ubisoft say that community feedback has also influenced some store improvements, as well as further updates to the Prestige Economy.

Owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands‘ Year 2 Pass will get seven-day early access to Special Operation 3, plus an exclusive customisation pack, from December 11. Everyone else can join in from December 18, 2018.

Ubisoft have also confirmed that Ghost Recon Wildlands will continue to receive substantial post-launch support with additional Special Operations, more free content, and further updates for the Ghost War 4v4 PvP mode.
