New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe retains No.1 in the UK games chart, despite strong competition from Ace Combat 7.
Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat series has its biggest ever debut in the latest Ukie/GFK Top 40, the chart that tracks physical video game sales in the UK.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown enters the chart at No.2, held off the top spot by Nintendo Switch-exclusive, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, which stays at No.1 for a second week.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 remain steady at No.3 and No.4, and EA’s FIFA 19 falls three places to No.5.
Elsewhere in the chart, Marvel’s Spider-Man leaps up ten places to No.12, and JRPG remake, Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, tumbles out of the top ten, falling 23 places to No. 32.
Anticipation for Resident Evil 2 – out this week on PS4 and Xbox One – sees Resident Evil 7 make a return to the chart at No.28.
