The next Tetris 99 event is a suitably ghoulish and gooey crossover with Nintendo Switch exclusive, Luigi’s Mansion 3.
The latest themed event to come to Switch puzzle game Tetris 99 is based on Nintendo’s upcoming hotel management sim, Luigi’s Mansion 3. The event runs between October 25-28, 2019.
As with previous Tetris 99 events, players who earn more than 100 event points in online battles you can unlock a brand new theme. If you’re a half-decent player, it shouldn’t take too long to unlock. And even if you’re terrible, don’t worry, every match played earns points.
Tetris 99 Maximus Cup/Grand Prix event points
- 1st place – 100 points
- 2nd place – 50 points
- 3rd place – 30 points
- 4th to 10th place – 20 points
- 11th to 30th place – 15 points
- 31st to 50th place – 10 points
- 51st to 90th place – 5 points
- 91st to 99th place – 1 point
The Luigi’s Mansion 3 event follows previous tie-ins based on Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the original Game Boy .
