This week’s Xbox One promotions discount selected games by up to 85%.

Bethesda Quakecon Xbox sale

This week’s Xbox One promotions discount selected games by up to 85%, and celebrate QuakeCon

Although there are some big games coming to console this week, it’s still a relatively quiet time for new releases. Fortunately, the summer sale season provides an opportunity to pick up some games you might have missed at bargain prices.

This week’s new Xbox One promotions start with a sale to mark QuakeCon. Highlights include discounts for every modern Wolfenstein game, acclaimed FPS, Doom, and expansion content for The Elder Scrolls Online.

This week’s Deals with Gold picks include Messhof’s duelling sequel, Nidhogg 2, and Milestone’s off-road racer, Gravel. Our Spotlight sale recommendations are the excellent real-time strategy game, Bad North, and fantasy RPG board game, Armello.

If none of these tickle you, don’t forget that the Xbox Super Game Sale is still running, and the PlayStation Summer Sale starts today.

All three promotions run until July 29, 2019. Visit the Xbox One digital store, or the Microsoft online store to see the full lineup of titles available in your region. Here are some more recommendations.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
