Follow a series of animated teasers, Sega has officially confirmed that Creative Assembly and Games Workshop are working on Total War: Warhammer III.

Total War: Warhammer III concludes the epic strategy trilogy by taking players back to the conflict between “ruinous daemonic powers and the sentinels of the mortal world.”

Creative Assembly promises the largest collection of heroes, monsters, flying creatures, and magical powers so far seen in the franchise. The game also features the series debuts of the Kislev and Cathay races, alongside the returning of Chaos factions of Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch.

Speaking about the game, Creative Assembly’s Ian Roxburgh says:

“Our vision, from the start, was to create a series that felt like an incredible journey through this world we all loved. The enormous support of our players in ensuring the success of the first two instalments has pushed our ambition to new heights, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”

Jon Gillard, global head of licensing at Games Workshop, adds:

“The craft, dedication and authenticity to the Warhammer world that Creative Assembly has poured into the celebrated Total War Warhammer franchise over the years has been a delight to us at Games Workshop and fans worldwide. Creating and developing the armies of Cathay and Kislev for this project has been a lot of fun for our designers and we’re looking forward to seeing them take to the field in this huge third game in the series.”

Here’s a look at what the upcoming journey through the Chaos Realm will bring.

Total War: Warhammer III will be released in 2021. Although, an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, pre-orders are open now from the Epic Game Store, Steam, and the official Total War website.
