Microsoft reveals the four free games coming to Xbox Games With Gold in April 2018.
The Games with Gold line-up for April features three genuinely excellent games, and Cars 2. Xbox One owners can look forward to losing their minds, and their patience, with Jonathan Blow’s masterful puzzle adventure, The Witness. It’s a truly majestic work, and was my game of the year in 2016.
It’s joined by a game with a thoroughly undeserved reputation, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The game might not be as good as Origins, but don’t let the naysayers put you off. It has charming leads, a wonderful sense of place, and is by no means the low point of the Assassins Creed series
Over on Xbox 360 – and Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility – you can pick up the aforementioned Cars 2, and the excellent Dead Space 2.

- The Witness – April 1 to 30

Don’t forget, you can still download three games from March’s lineup. Trials of the Blood Dragon is available until March 30, Quantum Conundrum until March 31, and Superhot is free to download until April 15, 2018
