Dark Light

Here’s the full list of games coming to the Xbox One Games Store between 10–14 April, 2017.

There are only four games coming to the Xbox One Games Store in the next week, so hopefully the emphasis is on quality rather than quantity.

Tuesday sees the release of the Kickstarter-backed Yooka-Laylee. Playtonic’s colourful platform adventure is a deliberate – and maybe overly slavish – homage to the likes of Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, and is developed by many of the same team that worked at Rare in the late 90s. Reviews are mixed but I’m still hopeful it’s a game worth playing. Tom will be bringing you the Thumbsticks verdict very soon.

Also released on Tuesday is pixel-art dungeon crawler, Crawl (Nice, like it). It’s joined by the beautiful rhythm-based shooter, Aaero, which hails from two-man studio, Mad Fellows.

Finally, on Wednesday, we have the much-anticipated release of Tequila Works’ time-bending murder mystery, The Sexy Brutale.

Here’s the full release lineup:
