New Xbox One releases

Kingdom Hearts III leads the lineup of new games coming to the Xbox One between January 28 – February 1, 2019.

There’s a reasonably quiet week ahead on the Xbox One, but that’s OK, Kingdom Hearts III has all the games.

Square Enix’s sprawling action RPG series returns with Sora, Donald, and Goofy continuing their adventures to new worlds based on some popular (and not so popular) Disney franchises. New additions to the series include worlds based on Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Big Hero 6, and Frozen.

This week’s other highlight is Wargroove, a new turn-based strategy game from Chucklefish that aims to fill the gap left by Nintendo’s fondly remembered Advance Wars series.

Other releases include Team Jolly Roger’s galactic RTS, Worbital, and Radiation Blue’s blandly titled FPS roguelike, Genesis Alpha One.

All of next week’s games can be found on the Xbox digital games store, or via the Microsoft online store. Here’s the full release list.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
