The Outer Worlds, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Cat Quest II headline the list of new video games coming to Xbox One between October 21-25, 2019.
The Outer Worlds is our choice pick from next week’s lineup of new Xbox One releases. The new trailer for Obsidian’s RPG leans into character customisation and choice, but we’re more excited by the space-opera vibe and vibrant, pulp sci-fi aesthetics.
If you’re looking for more ‘realistic’ pursuits, the reimagined Call of Duty: Modern Warfare should have you covered. The game looks phenomenal from a visual perspective, there’s no doubt about it, but the grim tone leaves us cold. It will be interesting to see how the game is received by a mainstream audience.
Other new releases include WWE 2K20 – which is getting a decidedly mixed reaction before it has even launched – and Cat Quest II, the well-regarded open-world action RPG from The Gentlebros.
Each game can be purchased from the Xbox digital store and Microsoft online store. Here is next week’s full release lineup.
