Based on the Xbox E3 2021 press conference, the Xbox Series X|S has a bright future. In the medium term, the platform is losing a high-profile exclusive.

Bloober Team has announced that the super spooky psychological horror game The Medium will be getting a PlayStation 5 release on September 3, 2021.

The relatively acclaimed scarefest debuted on Xbox Series X|S and PC in January, and is notable for a dual-reality gameplay system that lets players explore two worlds simultaneously. It’s one of the few next-gen games on Xbox to truly feel next-gen.

The PlayStation 5 edition will include further enhancements by utilising the haptic capabilities of the console’s Dual Sense controller.

Through a partnership with publisher Koch Media, The Medium will also get a retail release on all platforms. A limited-run Two Worlds Special Launch Edition will be available in selected territories and comes bundled with a steelbook case, a 32-page art book, and a copy of the game’s soundtrack by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka.
