New DLC for Dead by Daylight and an avian digital card game headline this week’s lineup of new Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S releases.
We held this week’s Xbox update back for a few days in anticipation of yesterday’s Xbox + Bethesda E3 2021 showcase. In the event, there were no mic-drop moments or surprise new releases.
Instead, we’re left with a rather threadbare lineup of new Xbox games topped by a Resident Evil-themed expansion for Dead by Daylight and a video game adaptation of Wingspan, the popular card game about creating wildlife reserves for our feathered friends. (It’s really rather good.)
Also notable is an Xbox Series X|S upgrade for the highly-regarded post-apocalyptic shooter, Metro Exodus.
The Xbox Summer Game Fest Demo Event also kicks off on June 15 and compensates for the lack of new games. It features more than 40 demos of upcoming unreleased titles. Highlights include Sable, Tunic, and Echo Generation.
