Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC

Ubisoft is adding a new game plus to Assassin’s Creed Origins, giving you all the more reason to head back to the sands.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is a really, really big game – to say nothing of its DLC – but a new game plus mode is on the way giving fans plenty more to do once they’ve finished Bayek’s quest for revenge.

Responding to a post on Reddit, the Ubisoft community manager said: “New Game + is coming. We’ll have more information to share soon.”

It makes sense, given that the levelling system is ribbed from many other action RPGs with new game plus – Witcher 3, Dark Souls etc. – allowing players to scale up their power and skill in step with tougher enemies.

Given the overhauled combat system, the prospect of fighting renewed enemies is a lot more appealing than it once would have been as well.

Assassin’s Creed Origins released last October, and after a year’s break it was a refreshing reminder of just what the series was capable of. Check out our review of the game here.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
