Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy shoots back to No.1 in the UK video games chart following its Nintendo Switch and Xbox One release.
Last week’s No.22 is this week’s No.1 as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy jumps a massive 21 places back up the GFK Chart Track UK games chart. The reason for the resurgence is the release of the game on the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The PS4 version also received a free update that gives it parity with the Xbox One edition by adding HDR support and a brand new level.
This means that the only new entry in the top ten is Ubisoft’s The Crew 2, which enters the chart in second place. The game has reportedly sold significantly less than its predecessor, at retail at least. However, Ubisoft have proven with the likes of The Division, Rainbow Six: Siege, and For Honor that they are more than capable of nurturing a game, and building off a muted critical reception.
Last week’s No.1, Mario Tennis Aces, drops to fourth place, and PlayStation 4 exclusive God of War slips from third to fifth.
Elsewhere, Harvest Moon Light of Hope debuts at No.26, Fallout 4 continues its resurgence by remaining inside the top ten at No.9, and Star Wars Battlefront II climbs to No.7 off the back of various retail price reductions.
