The remake of Crash Team Racing tops the UK video game chart in its debut week.

Activision looks to have stuck gold once again with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the new HD remake of Naughty Dog’s classic 1999 kart-racer. The Beenox-developed game enters the chart at No.1, knocking FIFA 19 down to second place.

It’s a good week for racing games all round, with Forza Horizon 4 moving up one place to No.3, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe back in the Top Ten at No.8.

The only other new entry is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Koji Igarashi’s spiritual follow-up to the Castlevania series. The game debuts at No.17 based on sales of the Xbox One and PS4 version. It comes to Nintendo Switch this week.

Elsewhere, Watch Dogs 2 scampers back up the chart, rising from No.27 to No.14, no doubt due to the strong showing of Watch Dogs Legion at E3 2019.

Here’s this week’s Top Ten.
