Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic online multiplayer game, Fallout 76, is free to play this weekend on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Following the recent release of game’s Wastelanders expansion, players are warming to Bethesda’s much-maligned Fallout 76. We still haven’t played the game – and probably won’t – but if you’re tempted, you can take a trip to the ruins of Appalachia for free this weekend.

Fallout 76 is free to download and play from today (starting 9 a.m. PT) on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can play as much as you like until May 18, and earn double XP while you do so.

The free play event includes the core game plus all of the expansions released to date, including the Wastelanders update.

The Fallout 76 base game and Wastelanders bundle is also discounted by 28% on the Xbox One Digital Games Store and PlayStation Store. All achievements and earned during the free play promotion will carry over to purchased copies of the game.
