Think you can do better than Wenger, Guardiola or Pulis? You’ll have your chance when Football Manager 2018 is released in November.

The new football season is now in full swing, the release of PES 2018 and FIFA 18 is just around the corner, but there’s still something missing. Ah, yes. I still have a few hours of the day to myself, and that must mean I’m not playing a Football Manager game at the moment.

Well, all that will change in a few short months when Football Manager 2018 is released on PC, Mac and Linux. Sega has today confirmed that the game will take to the field on Friday, November 10th, 2017.

If you pre-purchase the game in advance – through a Sega approved digital retailer – you will be able to start pre-season at least two weeks prior to the official street date through a fully playable Beta version of the game. Single player careers started in the Beta can then be continued in the full game.

In addition, players who pre-purchase the game before Monday, October 9th – and have Football Manager 2017 in their Steam Library – will receive the wonderfully named ‘Contract Extension Bonus’ discount. The bonus will knock 25% off the Steam or SEGA Store list price.

Sega say they will be releasing more details about the game, and its new suite of features in September.

In related news, Football Manager Touch 2018 – available on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android, and Football Manager Mobile 2018 – for iOS and Android – will also be released on November 10th, 2017.
