Devil May Cry

Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Devil May Cry, has gone on Twitter and expressed a wish to remake the game.

“If we remake the 1st DMC, we’re confident about making it the most amazing hack & slash ever. How do you like it, Capcom?” Kamiya tweeted.

He actually mentioned it earlier this year, saying, “I’m just throwing some ideas out there, but I think it’s about time DMC got a game design revision.”

He then went to add:

“Looking at current global trends and the amazing graphics in recent Capcom games, the next DMC game could do with a full model change, like the new God of War. Instead of being an anime-style hack ‘n’ slash, maybe Capcom will turn DMC5 into a realistic, cinematic action game…?”

Kamiya isn’t working with Capcom anymore, but he developed Resident Evil 2 while at the company. He also developed Okami, while working at Clover Studio; Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta while working at PlatinumGames, which he co-founded with Resident Evil creator, Shinji Mikami.
