Here’s the full lineup of new Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One video game releases for November 9-13, 2020.

And so the next generation begins. Despite the loss of Halo Infinite from the Xbox Series X and S launch lineup, there’s a solid roster of games to play if pre-ordered one of Microsoft’s two next-generation consoles.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has had a rocky road to launch. Early word suggests that it’s a return to form, and by that we mean it finds a successful balance between the franchise’s recent sprawling entries and its earlier, stealth-focused adventures. Most of all, we’re excited by the return of composer Jesper Kyd.

The latest in Sega’s Yakuza series is also one to watch. Yakuza: Like a Dragon changes up the series with a move to a turn-based RPG battle system. The change is cleverly explained by having new lead protagonist Ichiban Kasuga be a fan of the Dragon Quest series.

The game we are most excited to play is Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s sublime fusion of block-dropping and music, Tetris Effect: Connected. This updated version of the game adds an all-new multiplayer mode and is an Xbox exclusive until next summer.

Other new Xbox releases include the remaster of comic-book shooter XIII, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, Gears Tactics, and Harmonix’s new DJ game, Fuser. Oh, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Insert shrug emoji here, dear reader.

Every game is available from the Xbox digital games store or the Microsoft web store. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions. All titles marked with an (X|S) feature some form of next-gen enhancement.
