World of Final Fantasy, Moonlighter, and Brawlhalla lead this week’s lineup of eShop video game releases for the Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS.
The pick of this week’s Nintendo eShop releases is World of Final Fantasy Maxima from Tose and Square Enix. The game – which was originally released for PS4 in 2016 – features characters taken from all eras of Final Fantasy. The key improvement of the updated Maxima edition is an Avatar Change system that allows the protagonists, Reynn and Lann, to fight as Champions.
If you Thursday’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct, you might want to check out Blue Mammoth’s free-to-play fighter, Brawlhalla. It doesn’t have the same charm as Nintendo’s fan-favourite franchise, but it’s good fun, and will keep you entertained until the real deal arrives in December.
Also released this week is Digital Sun’s marvellous action RPG, Moonlighter, and ThroughLine’s Forgotten Anne, a cinematic puzzle platformer published via Square Enix Collective.
