This week’s Nintendo Switch releases (April 27-May 1, 2020)

Here’s this week’s roundup of new digital eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch.

Our pick of the week is Telling Lies, the new narrative puzzle game from Sam Barlow. (Or is it?) Players must scrub through fragments of video footage to uncover a mysterious tale. (Or do they?) By building on the foundations of Her Story, the game tells a fragmented and fascinating tale that lives long in the memory. (Or does it?)

We’re also going to put our neck on the block and recommend Streets of Rage 4. LizardCube and DotEmu – who worked wonders with Wonder Boy – team up with Guard Crush Games to bring back the classic beat ‘em up series after a gap of 26 years. Early word is very positive.

If you’re looking for a local multiplayer game of the type the Switch does so well, Moving Out mixes home removals and Overcooked! to enjoyable effect. As the PR blurb says, the game gives a whole new meaning to “couch co-op!”

Other new Nintendo Switch games include new Sega Ages release G-LOC Air Battle, Indivisible, and roguelike RPG, Dread Nautical. This week also sees the release of Ninjala Exclusive Ninja Club, a free preview and beta for GungHo’s upcoming multiplayer action game.
