Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising headlines this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch releases.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a new side-scrolling action RPG from Natsume Atari. The game acts as a precursor to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the upcoming spiritual successor to the Suikoden series. It looks like a jaunty introduction to the new franchise, although Switch owners should be warned. Development lead Yoshitaka Murayama hasn’t confirmed that Hundred Heroes – due for release next year – will actually come to Switch.
This week’s other highlight is Evil Dead: The Game, a multiplayer survival horror game from Saber Interactive. It’s an attempt to tap into the success of Dead by Daylight and the like, but it looks pretty promising so far. Bruce Campbell returns to the role of Ash Williams, along with Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, and Pablo Simon Bolivar.
Finally, Instant Sports+ is a collection of 15 mini-games – including jet ski, bowling, seaplane, and table tennis – set on an island paradise. We’d be excited by the prospect if it wasn’t for a recent Nintendo-made sports game.
Other new Nintendo Switch releases include Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2 and Aery – A New Frontier. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions to the lineup.
