Obsidian Entertainment announce three post-release expansion packs for upcoming CRPG, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire – which is set for release next month – will receive three substantial content expansion packs throughout 2018 that will include new quests and environments, plus a host of new characters.

The first, Beast Of Winter, will be released in July, and takes place on an island populated by mysterious cult protecting an account secret. Sounds mysterious.

The second, Seeker, Slayer, Survivor, will drop in September 2018, and is a combat-focused expansion set on another island that will challenge players’ combat and tactical skills. Sounds like the one to skip.

The third and final expansion – of this initial season, at least – and will be available in November, and is called The Forgotten Sanctum. Obsidian promise that it will test your party’s allegiance and morality in a quest to help or defy the great wizards of Eora. Sounds intriguing.

All three expansions are included in the Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire – Obsidian Edition, or in a $24.99 Season Pass that will be available when the game launches. They will also be available separately, priced at $9.99 each.
