Dark Light

Here’s the full lowdown on next week’s PlayStation Store releases for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

This is the kind of PlayStation Store lineup we like. Low on quantity, high on quality. There are only eight games coming to the PS4 over the next seven days, but it’s a stellar list.

Highlight of the week is a little game from Sony Santa Monica Studio called God of War. And it’s a game people like. A lot. It’s certainly an early game of the year contender, and a stunning return for Kratos.

In any other week the release of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life would be our recommendation, so let’s make sure it doesn’t get overlooked. Yakuza 6 is the first game in the series to be developed from the ground-up for the PS4. It sees protagonist Kazuma Kiryu return to Tokyo after serving a three-year stretch. Expect the usual enchanting mix of crime melodrama, exploration, and fisticuffs.

Also released this week is Necrosoft’s unorthodox puzzle and tower-defence mash-up, Gunhouse, and Bread Team’s RPG slasher, Phantom Trigger.
