Take a look that this week’s lineup of new PlayStation Store releases for the PS5 and PS4.

At the time of writing, this week’s roster of new PS4 and PS5 games is looking rather threadbare. So much so that our pick of the week isn’t even a new release. Nioh 2: The First Samurai is the long-awaited final expansion for Team Ninja’s acclaimed action RPG. According to the press release, the add-on includes “some of the most challenging missions and formidable foes in the entire series, along with an added difficulty level that will give even the most seasoned veterans a run for their money.”

Another highlight is MXGP 2020, the latest entry in Milestone’s officially-licenced motocross simulation. Last year’s edition was well-liked, and the studio promises further improvements with new Waypoint and Director modes, dedicated servers, and a full roster of 68 riders and 19 circuits.

Other new PlayStation Store releases include Freddy Spaghetti and Synthetik: Ultimate. We’ll keep this page updated with any late additions.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
