This week’s lineup of new PlayStation Store releases sees FIFA 22 and eFootball 2022 battle for supremacy.

It’s hard to pick a favourite when your choices are a microtransaction-riddled free-to-play football game and a microtransaction-riddled football game that costs $60.

FIFA 22 comes with more official licences, plus a full suite of game modes and mechanics that have been refined over the years. Meanwhile, Konami’s eFootball 2022 is launching in a rather bare-bones state with the promise of more to come.

It’s like choosing between Manchester Utd. and Manchester City. This is why I support West Ham.

Other new PlayStation releases include a promising remaster for cult favourite XBLA game Toy Soldiers, a new content expansion for Outer Wilds, and Frontier Development’s strategy FPS, Lemnis Gate.

Here’s the complete lineup of new PlayStation Store releases. We’ll update this page throughout the week with any late additions.
