The Resident Evil 2 remake takes No.1 in this week’s UK video games chart.
According to new data from chart tracking company, GfK, Capcom’s well-received remake of Resident Evil 2 is the biggest video game launch of the year so far, and enters the All Formats Chart at No.1.
The chart – which tracks the sales of physical software in the UK – also sees Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 climb two places to No.2, and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 move up one position to No.3. This means that Nintendo Switch exclusive, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – which held No.1 for the past two weeks – falls to No.4.
The rest of the Top Ten sees a slight shuffle of the pack, with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown showing some pleasing staying power.
Further down the chart, Fallout 76 continues to hold steady at No.24, and Just Cause 4 re-enters the Top 40 at No.22, bolstered by some recent price cuts.
