Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play three new games for free this weekend.
Xbox One owners can try out three games for free this weekend during the latest Xbox Free Play Days event.
First up is Fallout 76, the much-maligned but not without quality, post-apocalyptic online multiplayer game from Bethesda. (Though on the day the UK goes to the polls, Fallout 76’s burgeoning accidental social class system is worth mentioning, for entertainment value alone.) It’s joined by Bandai Namco’s excellent fighting game, Soulcalibur VI, and the influential hardcore survival game, DayZ.
Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play each one until midnight on December 15, 2019. During the event, each title also gets a big discount on the Xbox One Digital Games Store.
Fallout 76 discount
- Standard Edition – 50% off
- Tricentennial Edition – 50% off
Soulcalibur VI discount
- Standard Edition – 65% of
- Deluxe Edition – 65% off
- Season Pass – 50% off
- Standard Edition – 40% off
Meanwhile, there are some decent sales on the Xbox store, with discounts up to 80% off. GOG is also having a big winter sale, and to celebrate The Game Awards, companion online event The Games Festival is giving away a dozen free demos on Steam for the next 48 hours.
