Dark Light

Before you boldly go, make sure you have the right Star Trek: Bridge Crew system requirements.

Communicator? Check.
Phaser? Check.
Tricorder? Check.
VR headset? Check.
Sufficiently specced PC?

Ubisoft’s much-anticipated Star Trek: Bridge Crew gives players the opportunity to man the bridge of the starships Enterprise and Aegis. The PC system requirements you need to explore strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civilisations are fairly modest, but there are few other points to note.

You will, of course, need a VR headset. The game is coming to both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive – as well as PlayStation VR – and supports gamepads, plus the Vive and Oculus Rift Touch controllers.

If you’re thinking of getting the game on PlayStation VR, you won’t need these system requirements, but we do recommend using Move controllers for the optimal gameplay experience.

All things considered, the worst requirement is probably the mandatory Uplay account and PC application needed for the game’s installation and activation.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew – System Requirements

  • Processor: Intel i5-4590, AMD FX 8350 equivalent or better

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better

Nvidia has also released the latest GeForce Game Ready 382.33 WHQL driver which includes optimisations for Star Trek: Bridge Crew, and Tekken 7. You can download the update from the GeForce website.
