Microsoft have confirmed that Undead Labs’ zombie survival sequel, State of Decay 2, will be released on May 22, 2018. The game will come to Xbox One and PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, and will also be available day-and-date to members of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Even if you’re not a Game Pass subscriber, the game won’t break the bank. The standard edition is priced at a very reasonable $29.99 in the US, with the Ultimate Edition coming in at $49.99. The Ultimate Edition includes four days early access, plus the post-release ‘Independence’ and ‘Daybreak’ downloadable content packs. It also includes a free download code for the original game in the shape of State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.
