The Swords of Ditto - Nintendo Switch

Devolver Digital are bringing a revamped version of The Swords of Ditto to Nintendo Switch in May, along with a free update for the PC and PlayStation 4 editions.

Onebitbeyond’s beautiful adventure RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch in an expanded form, publisher Devolver Digital has announced.

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse will be released on the Nintendo eShop on May 2, 2019, and features new weapons, enemies, and bosses. One of the game’s most controversial gameplay mechanics, permadeath, has also been removed. This follows an update released last summer for the PC and PS4 versions that removed the game’s punishing time limit.

In our four-star review, Tom Baines called The Swords of Ditto, “a fierce, fiendish, oft-frustrating roguelite adventure.”

The Mormo’s Curse expansion will also come to PlayStation 4 and PC as a free update for existing owners. The Switch edition is available to preorder now from the Nintendo eShop, priced at $14.99/£11.39/€12.49.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
