Electronic Arts and Maxis have announced that The Sims 4 Seasons expansion pack will be released for PC and Mac on June 22, 2018.

The latest expansion for The Sims 4 adds four seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, fact fans – plus a range of related activities, festive holidays, and weather conditions.

Players can look forward to playing in the pool during Summer, harvesting honey in Fall, and, judging by the picture above, creeping out the kids by dressing up as ‘Father Winter’. Custom holidays can also be created.

Grant Rodiek, producer at Maxis, says of the new expansion:

“With a vast variety of weather elements that empower the ways players can play with life, The Sims 4 Seasons will allow players to use their Sims to tell relatable stories like those they’ve experienced in real life. The ever-changing weather will transform worlds in unique ways by impacting gameplay choices, Sim’s relationships, and Sim’s daily life, while also delivering new challenges. Our team has worked hard to bring this highly-requested expansion to the game, and The Sims 4 Seasons adds more dimension to The Sims universe than ever before.”

Nice of Grant to squeeze a text-book ‘than ever before’ in there at the last moment.

The Seasons expansion also adds new gardening career activities such as flower arranging, and botanical research.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
