Microsoft has revealed the free games coming to Xbox Games With Gold in August 2018.
How do we put this? August’s Xbox Games with Gold lineup is OK. Howabout that? In fact it’s a solid lineup of good games, but there isn’t any one title that gets us truly excited.
For Honor is probably the big Xbox One release, but if you haven’t sampled the game via its many free play events and discounts we’d be surprised. Forza Horizon 2 is also a solid, but likewise, it’s been around the block when it comes to having had previous opportunities to play.
August’s two Xbox 360 games are slightly more intriguing. Dead Space 3 is the one title in the series that was slightly overlooked, and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two – which isn’t quite as inventive or polished as its predecessor – was similarly ignored. Both Xbox 360 games can also be played on Xbox One via Back Compat.

Don’t forget, you can still download three games from July’s Games with Gold lineup. Assault Android Cactus and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction are available until the end of the month, and Death Squared is free to download until August 15, 2018.
