Microsoft has announced the free games coming to Xbox Games with Gold in September 2018.
For the third month in a row we have to admit a little disappointment with the Xbox Games with Gold lineup. There’s nothing particularly wrong with any of the included games – in fact, they range from pretty good, to very good – but there’s little to get truly excited about.
Pick of the bunch is Introversion Software’s 2015 strategy simulation, Prison Architect, which comes to Xbox One from September 1, 2018. It’s joined later in the month by Tuque Games’ 2016 twin-stick shooter, Livelock.
Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 – and Xbox One via the magic of Back Compat – gets the enjoyable Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World, the ageing XBLA compilation of three classic Wonder Boy games.

Don’t forget, you can still download three games from August’s Games with Gold lineup. Forza Horizon 2 and Disney Epic Mickey 2 are available until the end of this week, and For Honor Standard Edition is free to download until September 15, 2018.
