Dark Light

This week’s Xbox One release lineup includes The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics and, erm, Classic Snake Adventure.

Some new video games are coming to Xbox One this week, so prepare to be excited. Maybe.

It’s not the most exciting lineup, to be frank, but The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics does look promising. BonusXP’s strategy tactics game is based on the hit Netflix series and features 50 turn-based campaign battles to win. For a licensed product it looks remarkably polished, especially the digital recreations of fan-favourite characters like Aughra, Thra, and Skeksis.

The Zombie Army series also returns with its fourth instalment, Dead War. Continuing the story from Zombie Army Trilogy, up to four players can fight the undead hordes in an epic adventure across 1940s Europe.

Other new releases include Rune Lord, 7th Sector, and Classic Snake Adventure, which is billed as a ‘4K reboot’ of the classic mobile game. And you enjoy low-fi platformers like VVVVVV, check out Zero Zero Zero Zero, the new game from Ratalaika Games.

Each new release can be purchased from the Xbox One digital games store and Microsoft online store. Here’s the confirmed lineup.
