Oh me, Nomai! Outer Wilds is coming to PlayStation 4. And soon.

Mobius Digital’s lauded space exploration game, which is either “really interesting but pretty janky” or “one of the best games I’ve ever played,” depending on who you ask, will come to the PlayStation Store on Oct. 15.

Here’s the elevator pitch. Outer Wilds is The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask meets No Man’s Sky meets Return of the Obra Dinn. As an astronaut from a space-faring planet, you’ll explore a hand-crafted galaxy uncovering the mysteries of the precursor race who inhabited the solar system many years before. Exploration is completely open-ended, but in a Groundhog’s Day-style twist, the sun explodes every 22 minutes. Through each world-ending calamity, you maintain a log of all the information you’ve uncovered so far.

Essentially, it’s a detective game – in the vein of Obra Dinn, Telling Lies and Her Story – but in a clockwork open world.

Until now, Outer Wilds was exclusively available on Xbox One and, for PC players, through the Epic Games Store. I know everybody says this about everything, but… Nintendo Switch port when?
