Dark Light

All four seasons of Telltale’s The Walking Dead will be released in three limited edition collector’s packs.

We’re experiencing a little bit of zombie-fatigue in the Thumbsticks office this week. First up, Tom reviewed World War Z, which also topped the most recent UK video game charts. Then, we heard some intriguing news about the development of The Last of Us II which was followed by some new videos promoting upcoming PS4 exclusive, Days Gone. (Feel free to argue about what a is or isn’t a zombie among yourselves.)

To wrap things up (hopefully) we have news of a new physical release that bundles together all four seasons of Telltale’s acclaimed series of games based on The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series comes via Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Games – who picked up the franchise after the collapse of Telltale – and bundles all four seasons, plus the Michonne side-story, into one physical release. It will be available this September for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in three limited edition collector’s packs.

All together, the collection includes over 50 hours of gameplay across 23 episodes. Also included is a range of behind the scenes features, over 10 hours of developer commentary, the documentary short, Return of The Walking Dead, and a music player featuring over 40 musical tracks.

Here’s what’s lurking inside each pack:

Protector Pack

Game content, digital bonuses, an Ericson School for Troubled Youth t-shirt, Clementine & Lee Enamel Pins, a Kenny Hat, Clementine Nesting Dolls, and a Disco Broccoli Plush. ($99.99)

Guardian Pack

Including all items from the Protector Pack in a box with gold stamped signatures from the Still Not Bitten team, plus a 10” Clementine & Lee Diorama, and a 18”x24” Art Print from comic book artist Eric Zawadzki. ($249.99)

Signature Pack

Including all items from both Guardian and Protector Packs in a signature stamped box, plus a signed Art Print from members of the Still Not Bitten team, voiceover actors and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. ($349.99 – only 100 available)

Each pack is available to pre-order until May 31 – or until it sells out – from the Skybound website.
